Breaking Barriers (detail 4)

This section centers around a triumphant woman in gorgeous golden robes who is blowing a trumpet and holding a white banner with the words 'Breaking Barriers' in gold and 'looking at suffrage in Essex' in smaller blue print. She faces to the left of frame where, from the top, we see 'womens suffrage' in gold lettering on a red background. Beneath this, we see the solemn face of an Edwardian woman from a sepia photograph floating over the words 'Parliamentary outreach' in pink and '1918' in gold. To the right of the central figure and beneath her flowing banner, an enamel badge in green, white and purple and '2009' in purple lettering float over a group from an Edwardian photograph depicting six young women and a young man in uniform.
