Grey Mares sculpture by Tony Heaton

Three horses cut out of flat shiny metal. They are galloping with their manes flying in the wind. Their bodies pass through one another's midway along their flanks, so that the three figures are perfectly intersecting. The point of intersection rests on a metal pole which is mounted on a cylindrical chimney-like structure of red, orange and black bricks. We are looking up at the work which is framed by a cloudy blue sky, which gives the piece the look of a weather vane.
